For the 3rd year in a row, Asheville Wine Tours (a Van in Black company), has been nominated in USA Today’s 10BEST Readers’ Choice award program for 2024 as one of the best wine tour companies in the nation. The first time we were nominated for this program, in 2022, we were a bit blown away by the recognition. We were and still are, a small company located in the hills of Western North Carolina. We are a literal “Mom and Pop” business! Furthermore, the wine region in this area is still somewhat in its infancy. We think this area is absolutely beautiful and want to share it with the world but we were up against companies from regions that are more developed and well known throughout the world like Napa, Sonoma, or the Finger Lakes of New York. Yet despite all of that, our little company placed 7th in our first year. While we would have loved to have finished in first place (who wouldn’t?), we were absolutely amazed that we placed 7th. We were nominated again in 2023 and did a little better finishing 5th place so to finish in the top 5 was quite an achievement. We are honored that we have been nominated again for 2024 and we hope to do even better this year! The contest is in full swing right now and as with the previous competitions, we need your help!

As they say, “Go big or go home!” That is kind of our attitude on this. The outcome of this really isn’t going to change much for us with regards to how we deliver our tours.
