For the past 9 months we have held steady with 13 vehicles in our fleet consisting of a varied combination of vans, SUVs, and a sedan. This number has always had an interesting reputation as being a “bad luck” number or something silly like that. Whatever the case, I am here to say that 13 has had no negative or bad luck impact to our operations. If you were to say (which I am not) that a number had any “luck” impact on us; it would actually be quite the opposite. Business for us has never been better and we continue to provide great service to our customers and build solid relationships with our clients and partners. So much so, in fact, that we are pleased to announce that we are going to give the number 14 a try for a little bit as we are expanding our fleet once again. Yes, we are extremely happy to be adding another 14 passenger van to our fleet effectively immediately.
14…A Good Number!
Not only is 14 the new number of vehicles that we have in our fleet but it is also the number of passengers that most of our vans can carry. The 14 passenger vans are the workhorses of our fleet and enable us to move large amounts of people for weddings, corporate events, or any other booking that requires comfortable, safe, and reliable transportation of large groups of people. When combined with the other vans in our fleet we can easily transport exceptionally large groups of 100+ people. Our vehicles can also support many of the venues and areas of the region where the large coaches can’t make it due to inclines, switch backs or clearance issues. In most cases, if a car can access an area then our vans can also make it to that location. There are, of course, some exceptions to this as the vans are longer and taller than most cars but we are able to support transportation to most destinations.
Just In Time For The Fall…
The arrival of this van into our fleet is just in time to meet the higher demands associated with the Fall season in Western North Carolina. This is by far our busiest season and most of our Saturdays have been fully booked for several months. This additional vehicle will immediately open up some dates on the calendar that can be booked for some of the more popular fall events that include wine tours, scenic tours, or wedding transportation. So, if you were looking for availability in the past and we were fully booked, now is your chance to secure a date with us during the Fall. You must act quickly, however, as these dates will almost certainly book up fast!
Looking Forward…
We will not be sticking with the number 14 for very long. This will be true with both our fleet and the maximum number of passengers our largest vehicles can hold. Van in Black has been experiencing tremendous demand for our services and have aggressive plans to grow in order to meet the demand.
